Physiotherapy & rehabilitation

Restoring movement. Rebuilding independence.

At The Wellness Centre, our physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes are designed to relieve pain, restore movement, improve physical function, and help individuals return to their everyday activities with greater confidence and independence.

Every treatment programme begins with a comprehensive clinical assessment and is tailored to the individual’s condition, lifestyle, abilities, and rehabilitation goals. We combine therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, advanced rehabilitation techniques, patient education, and appropriate therapeutic modalities to support safe and effective recovery.

Treatment programmes may focus on:

  • Pain management
  • Joint mobility and flexibility
  • Muscle strength and endurance
  • Balance and coordination
  • Functional mobility and gait
  • Posture and body mechanics
  • Recovery following injury or surgery
  • Prevention of recurring problems
  • Independence in activities of daily living

Our treatment techniques

Our physiotherapists combine hands-on clinical expertise with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation equipment.

  • Therapeutic Exercise
Individualised exercises designed to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and endurance while supporting long-term recovery and preventing future injury.
  • Manual Therapy
Specialised hands-on techniques used to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, release muscle tightness, and restore functional movement.
  • Electrotherapy
Selected electrotherapy modalities may be used alongside active rehabilitation to assist with pain management and tissue recovery.
  • TENS
A non-invasive technique using low-voltage electrical impulses to help manage pain associated with conditions such as neck, back, and knee pain, arthritis, muscle pain, and sports injuries.
  • Therapeutic Ultrasound
Uses high-frequency sound waves as an adjunct to rehabilitation for selected soft-tissue and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Spinal Traction
A controlled stretching technique that may be recommended for selected patients with conditions such as PIVD, herniated discs, sciatica, nerve compression, and certain chronic neck or back conditions following clinical assessment.
  • Short Wave Diathermy
Uses therapeutic heat to assist with pain, muscle spasm, circulation, tissue flexibility, and joint stiffness in selected musculoskeletal conditions.

Evidence-based care

At The Wellness Centre, therapeutic modalities are used appropriately as part of a broader rehabilitation programme. We believe active rehabilitation—including therapeutic exercise, functional training, and patient education—plays a central role in achieving meaningful and lasting recovery.

Our goal is simple: restore movement, maximise independence, and help you return to a healthier, more active life.
