Pre-vocational and vocational training
At The Wellness Centre, our pre-vocational and vocational training programme is designed to help adolescents and young adults with special needs develop the practical, work-related, and life skills needed for greater independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
We believe that every individual has the ability to learn, contribute, and lead a productive, meaningful life. Our programmes are personalised around each participant’s interests, strengths, abilities, and individual goals.
Skills for everyday life and work
Training focuses on developing practical skills that support greater independence, including:
- Communication and social interaction
- Workplace behaviour and readiness
- Time management
- Task completion
- Money handling
- Self-care and daily living skills
- Following instructions and routines
- Building confidence and responsibility
Our Rehabilitation Approach
We believe rehabilitation is about more than managing symptoms. Our goal is to help patients regain the strength, mobility, confidence, and functional abilities they need to participate fully in everyday life.
Treatment programmes may focus on:
- Pain management
- Joint mobility and flexibility
- Muscle strength and endurance
- Balance and coordination
- Functional mobility and gait
- Posture and body mechanics
- Recovery following injury or surgery
- Prevention of recurring problems
- Independence in activities of daily living

Practical vocational exposure
Participants are introduced to hands-on vocational activities suited to their abilities and interests. The aim is to develop useful work skills and prepare individuals for supported employment, self-employment, or meaningful engagement within their communities.
We work closely with families, educators, and where appropriate, employers, to create supportive pathways that allow individuals to participate more actively in society.
Building confidence and independence
Our goal extends beyond teaching vocational skills. We focus on developing self-esteem, dignity, confidence, and the ability to make meaningful contributions. With the right support and opportunities, we help individuals build a more independent and purposeful future.
Empowering abilities. Building independence. Creating opportunities.
